Tampere opens internship support for employers hiring international students

Tampere opened applications on 29 October 2026. The pilot aims to help international students in English-language degree programmes at Tampere University and TAMK gain experience in their field.

Employers apply for the funding and choose their own interns. A student can share the scheme with a company they are already talking to. Applications are open until 28 February 2027, subject to eligibility and funding. The city will assess the pilot before deciding whether to continue it.
