How to get a Helmet library card

Start at a branch near home. The four cities share the Helmet network, so you can search a wider catalogue and choose a convenient pickup library.

Before your visit

You need an address in Finland. Take an original identity document and check Helmet’s list of accepted documents first. If you do not have a Finnish personal identity code, the card is valid for one year at a time.

Try looking for books in Thai

Search the catalogue by title or language. If a book is at a distant branch, check whether you can reserve it for local pickup. Check the due date on your receipt or account, since different items can have different loan periods.
